Emily smiled. "It's okay." she was used to random pokes and pulls and whatnot from her younger sister, who was currently seven. Having raised Aria from three, she was accustomed to odd things, as well as non-polite things, also random questions. So this girl seemed like nothing compared to a curious seven year old.
"David. Lokin. I don't know who he knew, but uh... Hm, what was his name? Oh, yeah, he knew Billy. They never quite got along to well, and my father was younger than him by a couple years. But he knew him. I think his last name was Black. Yeah. Je said he had some son, Jacob or somehting. I dunno, never met the kid. Seemed nice though." She said, ignoring the twang of pain as she said his name. "Uhm, well, i'm al least half human, as I bleed normal blood. But I have a much harder ounch than the normal human..."

"Your dad's name sounds a bit familiar." Mia shrugged off the feeling that she had heard this name before and laughed about poking Emily. "Jacob Black is my uncle and his son, James, is my cousin. We act like brother and sister though. He's the reason I can't go into Forks." She cursed silently, crossing her arms and slamming back into the brown leather couch.
"You want to go somewhere else. I think that lady is going to kick us out." Mia announced and pointed a finger at the employee from earlier. She had a huge scowl on her face and was trying to get over to them. "She looks like my mom when my dad let's me slide when I get in trouble." She laughed humorlessly and jumped to her feet. "I don't like it when random people yell at me. That's when the Paul Black in me comes out." Mia giggled, stuffing her hands into her pockets. It truly was her weakness, yelling. If Mia had become a werewolves she surely would have killed many old women by now. They were also nagging her. "Come on potential cousin."

Emily nodded as the girl explained why she was not allowed over in forks. "I just dont go there much because of.... them." she told Mia, adding emphasis to the last word.
Eyeing the lady, Emily smiled and stood. Looking around, she announced, quite loudly, "You're right. Dad would never go for any of this. Too.... ugh. Just way too- ugh." She shuddered, then turned so the sales lady could not see her face, and giggled. Her father probably would've liked this, and the furniture was pretty nice, but it was just an act for a reason to exit the store. Sighing, she grabbed Mia's arm, then realized her grip was a little too tight, loosened, and walked out the store.

"Those people are the reason why my dad and cousin won't let me go." Mia whispered just before Emily stood. She giggled wildly at Emily's little act. The employee looked throughly annoyed. Well done. She thought happily.
The tight grip on her arm didn't bother her, uncomfortable but not a lot. When they reached the outside world Mia sighed happily. "Really, your grip on me wasn't that bad. Try having cousins who forget that they are really strong. We used to get in fights. Not a good sight." She shook her head at the memory that poked into her mind. Of course all of those fights she won with the help of her dad and protective James. "Where shall we go now?"

Emily giggled. "good point. Still, I can't let it become a habit or anything. Normal people would ask questions. Your cousins can just use an excuse like," she lowereed her voice, "I was workin' out." Regulting her voice, she continued. "I on the other hand..." se stared at her non-existent muscles, "can't."
"Hmm..." she pondered that. They were still near the forest. She could hardly believe that just a few moments ago they had been warning each other about the dangers of a forest, and know they were acting like sisters. It was... nice. Especailly after all the years of lonesomness with only a little sister who was delicate and a drunken uncle.

Mia smiled. She was very happy for once she had someone who was just like her, in some ways. Being the only girl in the family was hard, no one to talk about boys with. No one to do makeovers with. "Just say you grew up with boys. People will understand." She laughed once again.
Mia followed Emily's gaze over to the forest. "We could go in there but I really don't want to get yelled at. It's like they can sense when I do bad things." She mumbled more to herself than Emily. "Wanna go to my house? Or the beach? Either way we need to stop and get some food. I'm starvi-" The loud grumble of Mia's stomach cut her off. "Excuse me." She muttered then laid a hand on her abdomen. "So, what do you think?"

Emily laughed. "I think you're right." She looked away from the forest and back towards town. "I need food too." She grabbed her friend, and pulled her a bit towards town. "So, Mia. This might sound a little... weird, but what're they like?"
((dead. sorry.))

"What are they like?" Mia repeated quietly. "Well, they're big! And hot... I mean temperature wise." She giggled a bit then continued. "They all have short hair, most of them anyway. Really strong, tan as hell, and on days when it's cold you can see them out in cut off shorts and no shirts." She shook her head lightly as she and Emily walked. In the distance Mia could see a little restaurant that she always went to, Los Frios. "Los Frios, let's go there!" She screeched then took off toward the restaurant.

Emily giggled right along with Mia, smiling. They sounded.... nice. and quite different from what she was used to. Actually, this whole town was different from what she was used to. But.... Fork's and La Push were growing on her. When her friend took off, she sped up, and kept pace pretty easily. "Los Frios?" she asked, looking around, asking where they were headed. Food sounded quite good right now. As she ran, her thought's drifted off a little, and she began to wonder if any of them would like Aria. how could they not? Everyone seemedto adore her. But as long as she stayed alive, Emily was fine with that.

Mia listened closely as she heard Emily's footfalls behind her own. She was not going to lose her only girlfriend. "Yes, Los Frios. Best restaurant I've ever been to!" She chirped, climbing up the steps and pulling open the door of the food place. She was hit by the delicious smell of fries, burgers, burritos, and tacos. "This place has everything."
Mia ran up to the counter and quickly ordered. "What would ya like? My treat, of course." A big grin spread across her tanned face. Then she pushed a few stray strands of hair behind her ear.

Emily smiled. She could've paid for herself, but she decided to let it slip, and refuse to let her pay next time, if there was another time... She turned to Mia, and giggling, told her what she wanted. Her eyes had lit up, happy. She looked around the restaurant, making sure there were only humans there. Thankfully, she was lucky that day.
They were safe for the moment.

Mia nodded then told the clerk Emily's order. She handed him the money. "Let's go find a table." She weaved past other tables and sat down at one near the entrance. "So, do you live in La Push? If so, how long?" Mia was anxious to get to know her new friend. Maybe they could even be best friends! The thought of having a best friend made her extremely happy.
Their food was brought over to them and Mia began to slowly eat. "Do you know much about your mom?" She asked slowly, trying to judge what Emily's reaction would be before she actually said anything.

Emily smiled at her bouncyness. It was so... easy to get along with Mia. "Uhh... not that long actually. Just moved a month or two ago, but I hadn't lived to far from here at first. What about you?"
Grabbing her meal, she dug in, and after a few bites, paused to reply. "She died when I was ten or so, but she was actually quite nice. She knew, of course. She was really quite understanding about.. well everything..."

"Oh, I've lived in la Push all my life. My dad and mom lived here and so on and so forth." Mia's hand was raised in the air, making little circles as she spoke. Popping a piece of food into her mouth her brow pulled together. "I'm sorry. I can't imagine how you must have felt."
Trying to quickly change the subject Mia stuffed her mouth with food. "Maybe when we finish you can go meet my dad. He'd be thrilled to meet you, I know it!"

Emily shrugged it off. She had gotten good at this. "Not your fault." she replied, listening. She giggled. "Sure. That'd be awesome." Emily was extatic, one that she had made an awesome new friend that was even connected somehow with her father, and now she might go meet her dad.
"This day just gets better and better," she said, biting down on her meal.
